The "classic dominos game".
The players alternately extend the line of play with one tile at one of its two ends; if a player is unable to place a valid tile, they must continue drawing tiles from the stock until they are able to place a tile. The game ends when one player wins by playing their last tile, or when the game is blocked because neither player can play

Sure, passes the time fine, but what are these other variations that are more complex? Oh... they're ...not complex, just slightly different? Ah. Okay. I don't think I need to play another round, thanks.
There are so many variations of Dominoes games it's difficult to make many general statements but the common variations I've seen are:
Draw Dominoes vs Block Dominoes
"It is like Draw, but without the drawing. If you cannot play a tile, you simply pass. You might be amazed at how much this one simple change improves the game. After you draw your tiles, you can actually look at them and formulate a basic strategy for getting them out of your hand, without having to worry about one or more mystery tiles being thrown at you along the way."
